Blue Landworks LLC was founded in 2008 as a new breed of civil engineering company. The company’s philosophy is to provide the highest quality solutions to today’s civil/site engineering challenges at a value that enhances our clients’ project’s success.

Our professionals are licensed in Georgia, North Carolina and South Carolina. Plus, with our association with NCEES, we have the ability to expedite licensure in any state.
The People

Taylor Anderson, PE serves as Blue Landworks’ President and has been providing comprehensive civil engineering services to clients in the southeast for over a decade. A graduate of Purdue University, he believes that today’s economy calls for innovative and cost effective answers in order to make a project successful.
Taylor has over 12 years of experience as an engineer and project manager serving public and private sector clients. He served as one of eight members on the Gwinnett County Department of Transportation’s SPLOST committee for transportation projects, advising on funding of over $160 million. Working with Gwinnett County staff, he continues to serve on the County’s Stormwater Technical Advisory Committee, assisting the County in writing and improving stormwater regulations for a rapidly growing county whose population exceeds 700,000 citizens. He was appointed in 2009 by the Gwinnett County Board of Commissioners to as the Professional Engineer on the County’s Development Advisory Committee. He was selected chairman of the County’s committee that is writing an entirely new section of stormwater development regulations for redevelopment projects. Last fall, he was elected to Gwinnett County’s “Engage Gwinnett” committee that will assist and advise the County on its funding strategies over the next five years. Taylor is a licensed Professional Engineer in three states, including Georgia, North Carolina and South Carolina.

Stuart McClimans, PE servers as a Senior Project Consultant to Blue Landworks and has been providing comprehensive civil engineering services to clients for more than 25 years. A graduate of the University of Florida with both a Bachelors and Masters degree, his abilities to find cost effective solutions while keeping an eye on the big picture makes him an invaluable asset to clients.
Stuart has an extensive background serving private and public sector clients with experience on redevelopment projects. He has water resources project experience involving storm drainage design, grading plan preparation, stormwater management and water quality BMP design, hydrologic and hydraulic studies, lake and dam modifications with Georgia Safe Dams Program permitting, floodplain and floodway studies with FEMA approvals, erosion and sediment control design, coordinating wetlands encroachments with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Stream Buffer Variance approvals from the Georgia EPD, and Atlanta Regional Commission approvals for Developments of Regional Impact and River Corridor applications. Stuart is a licensed Professional Engineer in the state of Georgia.
Tommy Woodsmall, RLS serves as a Senior Project Consultant to Blue Landworks and has been providing land surveying services to clients in the southeast for more than 30 years. Tommy’s abilities to identify cost saving advantages to clients along with his eye for identifying ways to solve problems while in the field make him an outstanding resource to clients.
Tommy’s survey skills include supervising field crews in all phases of field work, including boundary computations, GPS control surveys, topographic surveys and construction staking.
Jim King, RLS, ASLA has over 25 years of experience in land planning for the development industry and serves as a Senior Project Consultant. Jim has performed Land Planning, feasibility studies, and due diligence on a wide range of developments from less than one acre to more than 10,000 acres. He spent ten years working for one of the southeastern United States’ premier planning/landscape architecture firms and seven years working for a planning, engineering, and surveying company managing projects from conception through engineering and construction prior to beginning Landmark Design Associates in 2000.
Jim, a graduate of the University of Georgia, has a broad profile of project management experience including residential communities, office parks, retail centers, active senior, assisted living, and nursing home facilities, marinas, neighborhood and regional parks, school campuses, corporate headquarters, and military bases. Commissions typically include: assembly of topographic and boundary information, utility feasibility and design, subsurface investigation, environmental site assessment, wetlands identification, structural soils analysis, easement acquisition, ARC analysis, floodplain determination, hydrologic and hydraulic studies, water quality design, grading studies, engineering design, construction staking, and construction observation. Jim is also very active in the community serving on numerous Boards and Authorities.
